Job Title: Student (Youth) Pastor
Status: Full-time, Salaried, onsite position

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead students (youth grade 6-12), their families, and volunteers to follow Jesus.
- Consistently deliver an outstanding environment so that students are educated to become followers of Jesus Christ.
- Create systems necessary to attain consistent, measurable results beneficial to the mission and vision of FCC. Systems include, but are not limited to:
- Child Safety
- Leadership
- Communication
- Guest Follow Up
- Volunteers
- Midweek and Weekend Services
- Recruit, train, organize and empower adult volunteers and youth leadership teams to assist in leading the student (youth) ministry.
- Lead creative team meetings outside of service times in order to maximize the impact of Youth Group meetings.
- Communicate weekly and meet regularly with Youth Ministry Leaders in order to build ownership and equip them to lead.
- Oversee communication between the church, student (youth) and families.
- Provide resources for parents and families, as needed.
- Engage the community beyond the church setting through participation in youth member extracurricular activities, FCA, and others as identified.
- Oversee curriculum selection for youth grades 6th-12th.
- Oversee the setup and operation including check-in, individual student environments, security, check out, setup and tear down of all related youth ministry environments on Sunday morning, Wednesday nights, and Special Events.
- Oversee the Student (youth) Ministry budget, and plan special events, as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, as scheduled.
- Create/Sustain a student (youth) ministry “brand” within First Christian Church, to include: a name, theme, décor, graphics, website, etc.
- Actively participate in the planning, preparation, execution and follow-up of church wide events (fellowship lunches, lake day, VBS, Journey from Exodus, etc.)

- Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first.
- Tithe according to what scripture teaches.
- Be loyal to the vision and staff of First Christian Church and always protect the unity of the church.
- Personally model the mission of First Christian so that people may be led into a growing relationship with Jesus.

- Degree in Ministry related field or equivalent experience
- Heart for kids

- Strength in recruiting, training and overseeing volunteers
- Driven by a vision of the potential of the Youth ministry they are leading
- Excellent communicator
- Humility demonstrated through supporting tasks not assigned (Random acts of kindness)
- Experienced leader, specifically in the area of a group of volunteers
- High energy
- Favors creativity and innovation over tradition for tradition’s sake
- Capable of planning a weekly showcase event for students
- Social media savvy
- Well read
- Knowledge of church systems, organization, and structure
- Team Player
- Teachable/ Lifelong learner
