      About our Church:
Macomb Christian Church is experiencing significant momentum and is poised for an exciting future. With a Sunday morning attendance averaging over 300, we have seen 40% growth in the past three years. This aligns with a season of purposeful revitalization led by our Lead Minister who joined the team in 2023. He brings a deep passion for leadership, church health, and teaching God’s Word with clarity. We have moved through a necessary time of rebuilding and are now focused on breathing new life into our ministries, structures, and congregation.

We are blessed with a well-maintained facility with room to accommodate future growth. The building was recently refreshed and remodeled. Our 300-seat auditorium features a large stage and professional equipment. A major addition in 2011 included a dedicated NextGen wing with ten classrooms, gym, and commercial kitchen.

      About our Area:
Macomb Christian Church is 25 miles north of downtown Detroit in the heart of Macomb County, which is home to almost 900,000 diverse residents. The south part of the county is urban while the north side is rural farmland. Shelby Township is a densely populated upper middle-class suburban area with established neighborhoods and many new homes.

A couple miles south is a major highway with every store, restaurant, and entertainment venue you could want. Go a few miles north and you are surrounded by fields, though new subdivisions are quickly popping up. There are a lot of parks, trails, lakes, and outdoor activities in the region, plus over twenty golf courses within easy driving distance.

      About our Prospective Minister:
Macomb Christian Church is an independent, non-denominational, Christian Church with strong ties to the Restoration Movement. Candidates from other denominations are welcome, but preference is given to those with a Restoration Movement background. Candidates will explain their theology regarding Scripture, baptism, salvation, communion, afterlife, sexual ethics, etc.

The prospective minister must display a high degree of relational intelligence, administrative competence, and proven experience leading and completing projects. They must lead with skill, integrity, and passion for ministry. Many years of church ministry experience is highly preferred, but candidates newer to ministry will be considered if they display maturity and giftedness.

The Associate Minister must fit with the culture of the staff and congregation. MCC’s staff culture is highly collaborative, committed, and friendly. The atmosphere is lighthearted, yet the staff takes ministry work seriously. The Lead Minister empowers leaders and encourages autonomy to those with a proven track record. This freedom is balanced by clear accountability through regular one-on-one meetings and goal setting. A candidate who seeks genuine friendship, the freedom to lead, and the pursuit of excellence will find a great fit here.
