Primary Objective:
The primary objective of this position is to provide leadership, support, training, and organization to volunteers who work in: Family Ministry areas – including Nursery through High School ministries; Digital & Worship Ministry; Recovery ministries; and assist the Lead Minister in Sermon planning, preaching and assist with pastoral care duties as needed or assigned. This position will report directly to the Lead Minister and will coordinate with other staff in programming to provide comprehensive communication and programming for all involved areas.
Accountability:
There will be a weekly meeting with the Lead Minister and or other staff to debrief from the weekend activities; establish strategies for the successful completion of position-related goals; and coordinate ministry activities that are beneficial to the other staff, church leadership, and all church ministries.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Family Ministries Related Responsibilities
- Overseeing the program and ministry for Nursery through 12th grade, including Sunday mornings, Sunday and Wednesday nights (if applicable), summer programming, and special events.
- Choosing and preparing a curriculum for each program and each age level.
- Creating environments, activities, and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.
- The recruitment, training, scheduling, and leading of teams of volunteers for all age groups from Nursery through 12th grade.
- Help coordinate schedules and events related to youth and family ministry.
- Overseeing the Youth Budget
- Digital & Worship Ministries
- Recruit, train, schedule and equip volunteers to work in digital media, to include sound board, livestream, webpage maintenance, and visual displays.
- Recruit, train, schedule and equip musicians and singers to lead worship services at RCC.
- Develop and implement a strategy to create and enhance the digital campus for RCC.
- Develop, forecast and maintain an operational budget for the digital campus.
- Recovery Ministries
- Recruit, train, schedule, and equip volunteers from RCC to serve in Christ-Centered Recovery.
- Maintain contact with recovery homes and other ministries that serve the recovery community to maximize the outreach and ministry opportunities within the recovery community.
- Cast a vision for the future and the possible expansion of the recovery ministry.
- Associate Minister Responsibilities
- Work with Elders to learn the ministry of providing necessary pastoral care for families within the church.
- Planning sermons and preaching as the need arises in the absence of or by the direction of the Lead Minister.
- Perform weddings, funerals, or other services as necessary to fulfil the role of Associate Minister.
