Job title: Worship Leader
Reports to: Keith Warren (Preaching Minister)
Type of position: Part-time
Compensation: Hourly / Salary (Negotiable)
Purpose:
To lead First Christian Church of Neoga in worship through music and eliminating distractions thereby enabling the congregation to focus on Jesus Christ.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead worship on Sunday mornings and the occasional special event.
- Build setlists and work alongside the staff in coordinating worship services.
- Conduct weekly and Sunday morning rehearsals. Schedule team members.
- Recruit, train, and develop musicians and leaders within the worship ministry.
- Coordinate an annual calendar and budget to facilitate worship ministry needs. This includes: working with our tech ministry in purchasing and maintaining required equipment, volunteer training costs, memberships such as: CCLI, ProPresenter, and Planning Center.
- Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and/or bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with the preaching minister.
- Work with the Preaching Minister and staff on special activities as needed.
- Be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organized individual to serve alongside our staff and be a part of the team.
- Ensure the confidentiality within staff of personal information of volunteers, all church members and attendees.

Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in singing, and either guitar or piano.
- Must be proficient in, or willing to learn, the inner workings of a church sound system.
- Prior knowledge of CCLI, ProPresenter, and Planning Center is preferred.
- Prior successful leadership in a church or other demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Must be in agreement with the beliefs of the Christian Church (Independent).
- Must be an immersed believer in Jesus Christ.
- Must pass a criminal background check and have positive ministry and personal references.
- Must be a person of distinguished moral character and integrity.
- Must have strong relationship and communication skills; a flexible, well-organized approach to work; and demonstrated personal traits of dependability, discretion, and compassion.
- Must be self-motivated and organized.
